Seven Peaks, Utah, 1972-88
Ski area planning from concept formation to specifications and bid evaluation of the world's largest funicular, gondolas and lifts covering a potential 6400-foot skiable vertical drop.  Evaluation of transportation systems for a car-free resort, design of funicular station for 8000 visitors per day, plans for infrastructure and supply of three mountain villages not accessible by road during winter.  The 5000 acre project began with resource mapping, climate and avalanche analyses,  multi-seasonal recreation programs on the mountain, triangulation and lift profile surveys.  Alpentech staff worked on the ambitious project since 1972 changing from Four Seasons, to Heritage Mountain, and now Seven Peaks Resort, Provo, Utah.

First large-scale digital ski slope analysis made by microcomputer encompassing slope, solar aspect, synoptic wind vectors, avalanche potential and suitability maps.  Computer analysis was partially made at Grenoble University, France.  Digitized Area: 50 km2 (20 mi2). Service d'Etudes et d'Amenagement Touristique de la Montagne, Secretariat d'Etat du Tourisme Francais, Mr. Huet and Jean Cambau.

Wasatch National Forest, Utah, 1978/79, 1981
U.S. Forest Service, Wasatch National Forest,  Salt Lake District, Cottonwood Canyons Highway Safety and Operations Plan, two-volume report including avalanche location, frequency history, traffic statistics, operations, and maintenance cost for avalanche control, snow removal, etc.  The area includes very active  avalanche-subjected highways.  Attempts of modeling avalanche starting zones was made for Silver Fork subsequently.
